Activated charcoal, among other substances, has been used to treat certain disorders and diseases, including hyperlipidemia, diseases of the liver, biliary tract, and kidneys. Also, orally ingested activated charcoal lowers cholesterol levels, reduces flatulence and the amount of intestinal gas. Activated charcoal is a gastrointestinal absorbent and can have hypocholesterolemic activity.
Dosage and method of use
For digestive problems: take 2-3 capsules, 3-4 times a day, as needed. If necessary, the contents of the capsule can be stirred in a glass of water and drunk.
For bloating after a meal: take 1 g (4 capsules) 30 minutes before and 1 g (4 capsules) immediately after a meal.
Children under 3 years of age: 1 capsule per day after consulting a doctor. The contents of the capsule are dissolved in a glass of water and drunk.
