It has no effect on the application of the drug.
Use of Voltaren Emulgel 2% during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Do not use Voltaren Emulgel 2% if you are pregnant, especially in the last trimester of pregnancy, as it may have a negative effect on the newborn or cause problems during childbirth. Also, it is not recommended to use Voltaren Emulgel 2% during the first and second trimester of pregnancy, but it can be used under the supervision of a doctor if it is absolutely necessary. Do not use Voltaren Emulgel 2% if you are breastfeeding. Before you start taking any medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The effect of Voltaren Emulgel 2% on driving and using machines
Application of Voltaren Emulgel 2% to the skin has no effect on psychophysical abilities when driving motor vehicles and machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Voltaren Emulgel 2%
The drug Voltaren Emulgel 2% contains propylene glycol, which in some people can cause moderate, localized skin irritation, as well as butylhydroxytoluene, which can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis) or eye and mucous membrane irritation.
How to apply Voltaren Emulgel 2%
1. Before first use, remove the seal by unscrewing and removing the cap, insert the opposite side of the cap, twist and remove the seal from the tube.
2. Gently squeeze a small amount of gel from the tube and apply to the painful or swollen area, gently rubbing into the skin. The required amount depends on the size of the diseased or swollen area; an amount varying from the size of a cherry to a walnut is usually sufficient. When rubbing the gel into the skin, you can feel a slight cooling effect.
3. Wash your hands after finishing applying the medicine, unless you are treating your hands with the medicine.
Voltaren Emulgel 2% is for external use only.
How long should Voltaren Emulgel 2% be used?
Do not use Voltaren Emulgel 2% gel longer than:
If the pain and swelling do not decrease in 7 days or the condition even worsens, consult your doctor.
Pediatric population (under 14 years of age):
It is not recommended to use Voltaren Emulgel 2% gel in children under 14 years of age.
Elderly patients (over 65 years of age): Take the usual dose for adults.
If you have taken more Voltaren Emulgel 2% than you should
If you or your child accidentally swallows the medicine Voltaren Emulgel 2% or you have mistakenly used a much higher dose than recommended, contact your doctor immediately.
If you forget to take Voltaren Emulgel 2%
If you forget to apply the drug Voltaren Emulgel 2% at the scheduled time, apply it when you remember, and then continue with the usual application of the gel.
Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Very rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people): Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight. Possible signs are sunburn with itching, swelling and blisters.
