Mucolytics reduce the density of secretions in the respiratory tract, facilitate and support expectoration in conditions of acute and chronic respiratory disease accompanied by the formation of thick secretions and difficult expectoration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you need to know before taking ACC\u00ae acute 600:<\/strong><br \/>\nYou must not use ACC\u00ae acute 600:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylcysteine or any other component of ACC\u00ae acute 600<\/li>\n<li>Due to the high concentration of the active substance, ACC\u00ae acute 600 should not be used in children under 2 years of age<\/li>\n<li>For them, the use of ACC\u00ae acute 600 is recommended<\/li>\n<li>In children aged 1 month to 1 year, ACC\u00ae acute 600 should be used only if there are vital medical indications. The medicine should be administered under the strict supervision of a doctor, preferably in hospital conditions. There are no reliable data and recommendations on how to dose acetylcysteine in newborns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>When taking ACC\u00ae acute 600, be especially careful:<\/strong><br \/>\nSevere skin changes with blistering or flaking of the skin (Stevens-Johnson and Lyell&#039;s syndrome) associated with the use of acetylcysteine have been reported very rarely. In case of overdose, irritation of the digestive system may occur (eg stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea). However, serious side effects and symptoms of poisoning have not been observed so far.
