What is the medicine Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen and what is it intended for<br \/>\nThe medicine Herbion Iceland lichen syrup contains a soft extract of the thallus of Iceland lichen.<br \/>\nIt is a traditional herbal remedy recommended for the symptomatic relief of irritation of the mucous membrane of the lips<br \/>\nsinus and pharynx and accompanying dry cough.<br \/>\nIceland lichen extract contains mucilage that is supposed to coat, protect and moisturize the mucous membrane of the lips<br \/>\ncavities and pharynx, thus relieving irritation and dry cough.<br \/>\nUse in the indicated indications is based solely on long-term experience.<br \/>\nYou must contact your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.<br \/>\n2. What you need to know before you take the medicine Herbion Icelandic lichen syrup<br \/>\nYou must not take Lek Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen:<br \/>\n- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Icelandic lichen extract or to any of the auxiliary substances<br \/>\nof this medicine (listed in section 6).<br \/>\nWarnings and precautions<br \/>\nTalk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Herbion Iceland Lichen Syrup:<br \/>\n- if you have problems with the respiratory tract, which are accompanied by difficulty breathing, elevated body temperature<br \/>\nfever, chronic cough or blood in the sputum, you must see your doctor immediately,<br \/>\n- if the symptoms of the disease do not improve after 7 days of treatment or worsen during treatment<br \/>\nyou need to see a doctor.<br \/>\nChildren and adolescents<br \/>\nThe medicine Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen is intended for use in adults and children older than 4 years.<br \/>\nBefore using the medicine in children aged 2 to 4 years, you should consult a doctor.<br \/>\nOther medicines and Herbion Icelandic lichen syrup<br \/>\nTell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any<br \/>\nother medicines, including those that can be obtained without a doctor&#039;s prescription.<br \/>\nDue to the mucus content, the syrup can slow down the absorption of drugs if it is administered at the same time.<br \/>\nTherefore, it is recommended to take the medicine half an hour to 1 hour before or after taking other medicines.<br \/>\nIt is necessary to avoid the simultaneous use of the drug Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen and warfarin (a drug which<br \/>\nprevents blood clotting), due to a possible pharmacodynamic interaction that can lead to a decrease<br \/>\nresorption of warfarin from the gastrointestinal tract.<br \/>\nPregnancy and breastfeeding<br \/>\nIf you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, contact your doctor or<br \/>\npharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.<br \/>\nIt is not recommended to use Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to<br \/>\ninsufficient data on the use of Icelandic lichen extract in pregnant women and nursing mothers.<br \/>\nDriving vehicles and operating machines<br \/>\nIt has not been established that the medicine Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen affects the ability to drive vehicles and operate<br \/>\nmachines.<br \/>\nLek Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen contains sorbitol, liquid, non-crystallizing (E420) and ethanol<br \/>\nLek Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen contains 760 mg of sorbitol, liquid, non-crystallizing (E420) in one<br \/>\nmilliliter. In case of intolerance to certain sugars, consult your doctor before using this medicine.<br \/>\nSorbitol acts as a mild laxative. Caloric value is 2.6 kcal\/g of sorbitol.<br \/>\nThis medicine contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per dose.<br \/>\n3 out of 4<br \/>\n3. If you are not sure, check with your doctor or pharmacist.<br \/>\nThe usual dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age is 15 mL of syrup four times a day.<br \/>\nThe usual dose for children aged 10 to 16 years is 10 mL of syrup four times a day.<br \/>\nThe usual dose for children aged 4 to 10 years is 5 mL of syrup four times a day.<br \/>\nUsual dose for children aged 2 to 4 years: 2.5 mL of syrup four times a day.<br \/>\nChildren aged 2 to 4 may use this medicine only on the advice of a doctor.<br \/>\nThe medicine Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen is not intended for use in children under 2 years of age.<br \/>\nDo not eat or drink immediately after taking the medicine Herbion Icelandic Lichen Syrup, because this medicine is so<br \/>\ncan remove too quickly from the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and pharynx.<br \/>\nIt is recommended that you drink large amounts of tea and other hot drinks while taking the medicine Herbion syrup<br \/>\nIcelandic lichen, but not immediately after taking this medicine.<br \/>\nIf the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 7 days of using the drug, you should contact us<br \/>\nto the doctor.<br \/>\nShake the bottle before use.<br \/>\nIf you have taken more Herbion syrup than you should<br \/>\nDo not take doses higher than recommended.<br \/>\nIngestion of doses higher than recommended can have an irritating effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach.<br \/>\nIf you forget to take your medicine Herbion Iceland lichen syrup<br \/>\nDo not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.<br \/>\nIf you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.<br \/>\n4. How to store Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen<br \/>\nKeep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.<br \/>\nYou must not use the medicine Herbion syrup from Icelandic lichen after the expiration date indicated on<br \/>\nouter and inner packaging after &quot;Valid until:&quot;. Acharius sl, thallus) (16-18:1), which corresponds to 96-108<br \/>\nmg Icelandic lichen. Extraction solvent: water, purified.<br \/>\n- Auxiliary substances are: sorbitol, liquid, non-crystallizing (E420); xanthan gum (E415); sodium benzoate<br \/>\n(E211); citric acid, monohydrate (E330) and lemon flavor (contains: lemon oil, ethanol, water,<br \/>\npurified, Citral ex. Litsea cubeba). See section 2 Lek Herbion Icelandic lichen syrup contains<br \/>\nsorbitol, liquid, non-crystallizing (E420) and ethanol.<br \/>\nWhat the medicine Herbion Icelandic lichen syrup looks like and the contents of the package<br \/>\nThe syrup is a yellow-brown to brown, slightly opalescent liquid, with a specific smell and taste. It may be present<br \/>\ndiscrete sediment specific to natural substances.<br \/>\nThe inner packaging of the drug is a dark glass bottle (hydrolytic resistance type III according to Ph. Eur.) with<br \/>\nwith a plastic cap and a dosing spoon (the spoon is semi-transparent made of polypropylene, volume 5 mL,<br \/>\ngraduated to 1.25 mL and 2.5 mL).
