  2. WHAT IS THE DRUG CLARITINE AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
    The drug Claritine belongs to a group of drugs known as antihistamines. Antihistamines help relieve allergy symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in the body.
    Claritine relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (for example, hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, stinging or itchy eyes.
    Claritine is also used to relieve the symptoms of urticaria (itching and redness).2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE CLARITINE
    Claritine should not be used:
    Do not take the medicine Claritine if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to loratadine or any other ingredient of the medicine (see the section "What the medicine Claritine contains").When taking Claritine, take special care:
    Before taking Claritine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have liver disease.Administration of other drugs
    Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

    Laboratory tests:
    If you need to do any skin allergy tests, you should not take the drug Claritine two days before performing those tests, because this drug can affect the test results.

    Taking Claritine with food or drink
    Claritine can be taken regardless of mealtime. Claritine does not enhance the effects of alcoholic beverages.

    Use of Claritine during pregnancy and breastfeeding
    Before you start taking any medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
    Claritin should not be taken during pregnancy.
    Claritine should not be taken during breastfeeding. Loratadine is excreted in breast milk.

    Effect of Claritin on driving and operating machinery
    When taken at the recommended dose, Claritin is not expected to cause drowsiness or decreased alertness. However, in very rare cases, some people experience drowsiness, which may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

    Important information about some of the ingredients of Claritine
    Claritin tablets contain lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some types of sugar, consult your doctor before taking Claritine.

    3. HOW TO USE THE DRUG CLARITINE
    Always take Claritine exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    Adults and children over 12 years old:
    Take one tablet once a day with a glass of water, regardless of meal time.

    For children aged 2 to 12, the dosage is determined according to body weight
    Children weighing more than 30 kg: 
    Take one tablet once a day with a glass of water, regardless of meal time.

    Patients with severe liver disorders
    Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg: Take one tablet every other day with a glass of water, regardless of meal time.
    The 10 mg tablet is not suitable for use in children weighing less than 30 kg.
    Claritine is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

    If you have taken more Claritin than you should
    Take Claritine only as prescribed. No serious problems are expected in case of accidental overdose. However, if you have taken more Claritin tablets than prescribed, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Cases of drowsiness, rapid heart rate and headache have been reported in case of an overdose of Claritin.

    If you forget to take Claritine
    If you forget to take a dose of the medicine on time, take it as soon as possible and then continue taking the medicine according to the usual schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

    If you suddenly stop taking Claritin
    If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

    4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
    Like all medicines, Claritin can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them.
    The most commonly reported side effects in children ages 2 to 12 include headache, nervousness, and fatigue. The most commonly reported adverse reactions in adults and adolescents include drowsiness, headache, increased appetite, and insomnia.
    After placing Claritine on the market, very rarely there have been reports of severe allergic reactions, dizziness, irregular or rapid heart rate, nausea, dry mouth, upset stomach, liver problems, hair loss, chicken pox and fatigue. It is not possible to determine the frequency of these adverse reactions.
    If any side effect becomes serious or you notice any side effect that is not listed in this guide, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

    5. HOW TO STORE CLARITINE MEDICINE
    Keep the medicine Claritine out of the sight and reach of children!

    Expiration date
    3 years

    The medicine must not be used after the expiration date marked on the package. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.

    Keeping
    The drug does not require special storage conditions.
    Do not use the medicine if you notice changes in the appearance of the tablets.
    Medicines should not be thrown into the sewer or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer need. These measures help to preserve the environment.
    Unused medicine is destroyed in accordance with current regulations.

    6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    What Claritine contains
    1 tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.
    Excipients: lactose, monohydrate; starch, corn; magnesium stearate.

    What Claritine looks like and the contents of the package
    Oval, convex tablets of almost white color, which have a dividing line with the manufacturer's mark and the number "10" printed on one side.
    Claritin tablets are available in packs of 10 tablets (blister, 1×10 tablets).

    Mode of administration of the drug:
    The medicine can be dispensed without a doctor's prescription.
