Colossal, 30 tablets

Colossal is a nutritional supplement based on butyric acid, fructooligosaccharides and live cultures of Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium lactis, which is used in diseases and disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease or intestinal inflammation (diverticulitis). It improves symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain and general malaise.

* The gastro-resistant tablet with adjusted release reaches the large intestine in its entirety, where it dissolves and releases the components.

* Butyric acid is the main source of energy for colon cells (colonocytes), stimulates metabolism and their physiological maturation, and plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the mucous membrane and in the healing processes of lesions on the intestines; promotes the reabsorption of water and sodium in the intestines; helps to lower the intestinal pH by creating an unfavorable environment for the development of pathogenic bacteria.

* Bifidobacteria are the most important bacteria found in the colon of adults and children. The number of bifidobacteria decreases with age and with deterioration of health. Benefits of integrating bifidobacteria:

- prevention of intestinal colonization by hostile pathogenic bacteria and yeasts with which bifidobacteria compete for nutrients;
- the production of acetic and lactic acid, which lower the pH of the intestines and thus make the area uninhabitable for other bacteria;
- stopping bacteria that can convert food nitrates into potentially dangerous nitrites;
- a good adaptation of bifidobacteria can help solve the problem of constipation and improve bowel function.

* FOS (fructooligosaccharides) are complex carbohydrates, natural sugars in the form of polymers, which are almost completely indigestible. Fructooligosaccharides are food for live bacterial cultures.

Dosage and method of use

It is recommended to take 2 tablets a day for the first month, then 1 tablet a day for the second month.
