This medicine can be obtained without a prescription. However, it is necessary to use Febricet carefully to get the best results from it.

  1. WHAT IS FEBRICET AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
    The drug Febricet contains the active substance paracetamol, which belongs to the group of analgesics and antipyretics. Analgesics are drugs that relieve pain, and antipyretics are drugs that lower elevated body temperature. Febricet is used in the treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, dry throat, menstrual pain, symptomatic relief of sprains, sprains and rheumatic pain and flu, fever and colds accompanied by high temperature.
  2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE FEBRICET
    You must not use the medicine Febricet: You must not take Febricet tablets if you have an allergy (hypersensitivity) to paracetamol or any of the ingredients of the medicine (see "Content of excipients").
    You should also not take them if you are already using a preparation containing paracetamol.

When taking Febricet, take special care:
If you have severe liver or kidney disease, including alcohol-induced liver disease or G-6-PD deficiency (an inherited disease that causes a low number of red blood cells)

Administration of other drugs
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
This especially applies to the use of the following medicines:
metoclopramide or domperidone (to treat nausea or vomiting)
cholestyramine (to treat high cholesterol levels)
anticoagulants (medicines that prevent blood clotting, for example warfarin)
chloramphenicol (to treat bacterial infections)

Taking Febricet with food or drinks
Chronic alcohol use increases the risk of liver damage in patients taking paracetamol.

Use of Febricet during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Before you start taking any medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
You can take Febricet tablets if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, but as with the use of other medicines, you should consult your doctor. If you have any questions, ask your doctor.

The influence of the drug Febricet on the driving of motor vehicles and the operation of machines
There are no data on the effect of the drug on psychophysical abilities when driving a motor vehicle and operating machinery.

Important information about some of the ingredients of Febricet
The drug Febricet tablets contain castor oil, which can cause stomach problems and diarrhea.

  1. HOW TO USE THE DRUG FEBRICET
    Febricet tablets are administered orally.
    Adults (including the elderly) and children over 12 years of age 2 tablets every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of 8 tablets per day.
    Children from 6 to 12 years ½-1 tablet every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
    Children under 6 years of age Febricet tablets are not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
    Do not apply for more than 3 days without prior consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.

If you have taken more Febricet than you should
If you have taken a higher dose of Febricet tablets than you should, inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately! In case of overdose, it is necessary to consult a doctor immediately, even if you feel well, because there is a risk of severe liver damage.

If you forget to take Febricet
Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose! If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if the time for taking the next dose is approaching, continue taking the medicine according to the recommended regimen.

If you suddenly stop taking Febricet
Your doctor will advise you when to stop the therapy.

  1. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
    Like other drugs, the drug Febricet can cause unwanted reactions, although they may not occur in everyone.
    Adverse effects of paracetamol are ranked according to the frequency of occurrence:
    Rare (in 1-10 out of 10,000 patients taking the drug): weakness, drop in blood pressure, increased level of liver enzymes (transaminase)
    Very rare (less than 1 in 10,000 patients taking the medicine): hypersensitivity reactions, decreased number of blood platelets, decreased number of white blood cells, decreased number of white blood cells (neutrophils)
    Very rare cases of hypersensitivity reactions ranging from simple skin rash or urticaria (hives) to anaphylactic shock, requiring discontinuation of therapy, have been reported.
    Cases of redness, itching, rapid heartbeat and hot flushes have been reported.
  2. HOW TO STORE FEBRICET MEDICINE
    Keep out of the reach and sight of children!
    Shelf life: 3 (three) years. Do not use Febricet after the expiration date indicated on the package.
    The term of use expires on the last day of the specified month.
    Storage: Store at a temperature of up to 25o C, in the original packaging, protected from light.
    Medicines should not be thrown into the sewer or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer need.
    These measures help to preserve the environment. Unused medicine is destroyed in accordance with current regulations.

    The active substances are: 1 tablet contains: paracetamol 500 mg
    Other ingredients are: Gelatin, Macrogol 6000, Talc, Croscarmellose sodium, Castor oil, hydrogenated, Cellulose, microcrystalline, Magnesium stearate.

What the drug Febricet looks like and the contents of the package
White, round tablets. Inner packaging: 2 AL/PE strips with 6 tablets each, 12 tablets in total. The outer packaging is a collapsible cardboard box.
